Pie... you must get the pie... your mother will hate you, but get it anyway.
Okay, so, that might have been a bit much, but--no, seriously, get the pie! The joint is a little cafe inside an antiques shop, it appears. Nothing really to look at, but it's clean, and the food... oh, man.
I had the soup and half sandwich with an iced tea and a slice of (guess what?) pie for dessert. First, the soup. Broccoli cheese with a very good cheese flavor! It had... angel hair spaghetti inside? Weird... but good! It added a little body without adding any off flavors. Creative, I like the idea!
Sandwich. This was a "simple" ham and cheese (swiss). Well, the ham and cheese part might have been simple. The bread was a multigrain wheatberry bread, and the tomatoes were picked out of a garden that morning. It should have been a tomato sandwich with ham and cheese toppings, it was that good! I'm normally not a huge fan of the standard, boring sammie veggies... but when they are that fresh, that flavorful, and that noteworthy... I'm just saying...
Pie... now this was a treat. They all said, "Get the pie," so, I got the pie. Instead of running the risk of having to disown my mother, I skipped the pecan and opted for the best seller (as I'm told), the coconut cream. Ooooohhhhhhhh..... *drools* The coconut meringue was buttery... oh so buttery... lightly sweet, very well made, and a lovely topping to a gooey, not-too-sweet, coconutty, exotic custard that made up the lower half. The crust was very obviously homemade, and was the perfect slightly salty foil to the rest of the dish. WORTH EVERY BITE.
If I'm back in town, which I should be tomorrow, I think I might have to go back and ... try the... pecan. -

Passing through and based on Yelp decided to get to club and ham and cheese sandwich. Nothing fancy but the food was pretty good. Disappointed because they only had chocolate cake and no pie.

Amazingly friendly owners and staff, outstanding home cooked food, and pie that's better than Mom makes!!!! What more could you ask for? Highly recommended!!

Stopped in on our way to Santa Fe and was very pleased with the food and atmosphere. Was lunchtime and busy but we still got in and out on the road again in 35 Minutes. Well worth the money and time. I had the chicken enchilada special with salad which was true home cooking. My spouse had the Ruben sandwich which was very good. If you enjoy mayonnaise then go for the deviled eggs--not my preference but ordered because of a review I read . AND, got and split the pecan pie and it was awesome. Didn't need my own piece--watching the waistline--but very enjoyable. Hope you will stop in as our experience was enjoyable. If you are into health food there are options--limited--for you here as well.
